The Journalism and Communications Booster Club supports the students in charge of creating four different vibrant publications at Midtown High School in Atlanta, Georgia. Sponsorships and donations directly support these students with subscription management, after hours meals, external professional development opportunities, award applications, and more.

Hi!! I’m a senior and an EIC for the Southerner. Founding the Booster Club has been such a passion project, and I’m beyond excited to help support and grow our incredible programs. Whether I’m writing, editing, or brainstorming something new, I love finding ways to bring creativity and collaboration to everything we do. When I’m not working on a story, you’ll probably find me on stage, in the kitchen or spending time with friends and family.

Hi I’m Kai Chen! I’m currently the Associate Managing Editor of photography for the Southerner. I am so grateful to be Secretary this year and work with all the amazing people on this team. In addition to the Southerner I am also on Midtown’s Speech and Debate Team and love taking pictures, spending time with friends, and traveling! So excited to reach our full potential with this club!
